    Hi, Is anybody into quail farming in India?

    I need information on whether quail farming is a pursuable project in South part of India? Typically, how long they need to be grown since from hatching to cutting? please provide all this information.

    Also, what is the demand for quail meat?

    Hi Alex,

    I have some knowledge on quail farming and I'm sharing the same here.

    Any livestock is profitable if you do it in a right way. One should have good knowledge on livestock farming to be in better position without being depending on veterinary doctors.

    Quails are typically attains 250 gm weight in 2 months of time from hatching. So you will effectively get 120gm meat after dressing.

    There is a huge demand for quail meat in Indian market and I'm not sure about the rest of world market demand.
